A Charming Hotel & Spa in North Wales' Beautiful Vale of Llangollen

Set amid the magnificent scenery of the Vale of Llangollen, The Wild Pheasant's buildings have the appearance of a village cul-de-sac as you pull up outside the main entrance. The charming original 19th century building stands next to a beautifully designed modern extension where the geometric steel and glass structure emerges from beneath the cape of the traditional slate roof and dormer window - a seamless mix of classic and modern design.

The 46 bedrooms and executive rooms are suites are all very comfortable. The Berwyn and Dinas Bran Suites are equipped with king sized beds, large living areas, extensive bathrooms with his and her sinks, walk in showers and whirlpool baths. The Dee Valley Suite even enjoys its own private balcony with hot tub.

A visit to the Llangollen Spa is always a highlight - lights guide you along the garden pathways which lead you round the rock pools and reeds hugging the side of the new extension. Through the steamy triangular windows of the spa's hydrotherapy pool you can see comfortable deck chairs and bubbling waters. The promise of relaxation wafts from the treatment rooms beyond.

The recently renovated Brasserie Restaurant serves dishes sourced from locally sourced Welsh suppliers in a lovely atmosphere. The cuisine is well complemented by the carefully selected wine list. You can choose to enjoy a drink in the main bar, restaurant or in the summer months, al fresco.

Many of the hotel's rooms have sensational views of the Berwyn Mountains, the Vale of Llangollen and Castell Dinas Bran. Nearby are a wide range of country activities, including archery, laser clay pigeon shooting, golf, fishing, mountain biking, hill walking, and canoeing. Within easy reach are canal boats, steam trains, Valle Crucis Abbey, antique and craft shops, the spectacular Horseshoe Pass, Berwyn Mountains and festivals at the Royal Pavilion.
