If location is important to you when staying in London, it’s hard to imagine a better place to abide than at Rubens at the Palace hotel. The Royal Mews and grounds of Buckingham Palace are directly across the street, leafy St James’s Park and Westminster are a stroll away and nearby Victoria Station provides easy access in, out and around town.
Red Carnation Hotels has invested heavily in upgrading this beloved landmark building to a 5-star luxury standard. Lush fabrics and furnishings throughout create a calm, and indeed, regal mood. The bedrooms and suites are beautifully appointed with elegant furnishings, extra-comfortable Queen and King sized beds, plus a host of modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, an entertainment system including interactive TV, large selection of on-demand movies and a music library. For extra special accommodation, the Royal Rooms are situated in a private wing, with each room individually styled after great monarchs from Queen Elizabeth I to Queen to Victoria. The various Suites are opulent and spacious, stunning one and two-bedroom apartments are available and The Rubens also offers excellent options for families (and kids under 12 stay free) - there really is no better place to stay in London than at this welcoming and stylish hotel.
The newest addition to The Rubens is the English Grill, with a mix of classic trolley grilled meats and a la carte dishes served in royal themed surroundings with tailcoated waiters, polished silvers, chandeliers and many suppliers shared by the Queen’s own kitchen. Another good option for dining is bbar and Restaurant, a South African themed restaurant just next door with international dishes and a superb selection of South African wines.
In the Palace Lounge overlooking the Royal Mews, you can enjoy a traditional tea whilst watching the coming and goings of various royal carriages, and The New York Bar with its striking red décor is a great place to enjoy cocktails and live music. Also highly recommended is The Leopard Bar with stately wood panelling, leopard print accents and soothing classic jazz music.
There’s no better hotel in London to enjoy your short stay, romantic break or well-deserved holiday than Rubens at the Palace. Our special offers and packages make it even easier to enjoy your stay at this wonderful hotel.
