Trefeddian Hotel will be temporarily closed until further notice.
Situated in a commanding position above Cardigan Bay, Trefeddian’s lawns overlook the dunes and the sea. First impressions are of space and light – the ceilings are high, the large picture windows are south facing and there’s no shortage of public rooms, including a spacious drawing room, an adult-only lounge, a games room, playroom and the Blue Room for card players.
Bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. Many have wonderful views of the Dovey Estuary and the expansive bay, and some have private balconies too. You are guaranteed to be well fed here. The 5-course table d’hôte menu is daily changing and draws on the abundance of great local produce. The delicious desserts include old favourites such as lemon meringue pie and profiteroles. There are fresh strawberries for breakfast in season and Bara Brith for afternoon tea.
The four miles of golden sandy beach stretching in front of the hotel give everyone enough room to enjoy nature, plus there is an indoor pool, tennis court and putting green – with the Aberdovey championship links course adjacent. This is a stunning corner of Wales which appeals to families, sightseers, nature lovers and outdoor types who want to experience and explore the Snowdonia National Park.
