Owners Mary and Nick Galer have created a wonderful modern inn, catering to 21st century tastes amid 18th century architecture. The individually designed bedrooms are eclectic, cosy and characterful, often mixing startling modern colours and textiles with original wooden floors and period detail. Crisp, luxurious bed linen, rain showers (and in some rooms baths) and top quality mattresses make for a good night’s sleep.

The restaurant is at the heart of the Miller experience. Nick and Mary were both formerly with The Fat Duck Group, and their pedigree shines through in the quality of the dishes – fine, locally sourced seasonal ingredients, cooked with extraordinary precision and presented without pretension or formality. These are refined British dishes, perfectly complemented by Mary’s first rate selection of matching wines.
