This 16th century coaching inn has been welcoming visitors to Canterbury for centuries. Located just outside the Westgate, The Falstaff is a short walk to the Cathedral and Canterbury town centre.

There are 46 ensuite bedrooms, some with views over the hotel courtyard, whilst others overlook St Dunstan’s Street, North Street and the Westgate Towers. Superior Rooms in the main building are particularly romantic and some include period features such as beams, wood panelling and fireplaces. The rooms in the adjacent buildings (formerly the Woodmill building and the ‘Tap’ public house) are of a more contemporary style.

Afternoon tea is served in the stylish lounge, and the bar is the ideal spot for pre-dinner cocktails. The outdoor terrace is the perfect place to enjoy drinks in the spring and summer months.
There are more than 200 restaurants within walking distance of The Falstaff, so your only problem is narrowing down where to eat.

There is a car park which is free for hotel residents on a first-come first-served basis, making this a fantastic spot to explore not only Canterbury, but Whitstable, Sandwich and all that East Kent has to offer.
