Cabaret at Scarfes Bar, Rosewood London

Mayhem in Midtown: Cabaret at Scarfes Bar

Mix together the sultry atmosphere of Weimar Berlin nightclubs, the sophistication of 1950’s Rat Pack Las Vegas and a healthy dose of subversive 21st century Burlesque and you have roots of London’s exciting ‘New Cabaret’ scene.

We can think of no better place to get acquainted with (or renew your passion for) cabaret than in the luxuriously decadent confines of Scarfes Bar at Rosewood London.

On selected Sunday nights from February until April, Scarfes Bar will be presenting ‘Mayhem in Midtown’ hosted by Dusty Limits, doyen and pioneer of London’s New Cabaret scene and ‘compère without compare’. He will be joined by such exciting performers as Lili La Scala, Vicky Butterfly, Coco Dubois, Laura London and Sammy Dinneen, plus other guest artists and a cabaret trio led by Michael Roulston with Tom Mansi on the bass and Jonathan Kitching on the drums.

Dusty Limits, who is well known for his eclectic cabaret stylings with musical offerings ranging from Cole Porter to David Bowie, is promising an immersive show based on a country house party. “The show will reflect the glamorous and intriguing styling of the venue,” Dusty says. “It will be a heady cocktail of music, dance, acrobatics, singing and close-up magic.”

Tickets are limited to 60 per show, so this is your chance to experience New Cabaret in an exceptionally intimate setting. Scarfes Bar draws its inspiration from country house drawing rooms and gentlemen’s clubs and the roaring fire, antique books, cosy velvet armchairs, eye-catching satirical paintings, not to mention the sublime cocktails from leading mixologists, together make this one of London’s most effortlessly sophisticated venues.

Tickets are £30 and the show will play on the following Sunday nights: February 1st, February 22nd, March 1st, March 15th, March 29th and April 26th. Call 020 7781 8888 or visit to book.
