The Treglos has been owned and run by the Barlow family for the last 40 years and is the sister hotel of Budock Vean. The bright attractive property has a distinctly coastal air. The pristine interiors look very much of the moment yet there's a subtle nostalgic sense of the elegant early 1930s - when it was converted from a summer family home to a hotel. You are immediately struck by the faultless service and the absolute professionalism of the staff. The place is exceptionally well appointed and comfortable. There's a sunny conservatory and two lounges - both with open fires. Bedrooms are spacious and light and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could ever need. Many have dramatic sea views and some have private balconies. The award-winning restaurant overlooks Constantine Bay. Quite naturally the menu has a decidedly West Country flavour, featuring such dishes as Cornish duckling with green figs and Cornish pork cooked in Veryan cider. The fabulous indoor heated pool and extensive spa treatments make the Treglos wet weather proof. Away from the hotel there is much to explore in this rugged and spectacular corner of Cornwall - numerous bays and secluded coves are only a short walk away, and the charm and culinary renown of Padstow and the splendid Merlin Golf Course are minutes away by car.
