It's no wonder that the Royal Family's favourite holiday retreat is situated in the glorious landscape of Scotland's Aberdeenshire.  Escape to your very own Balmoral at Raemoir House, privately-owned Georgian country mansion itself befitting a princely retreat.

As you make your way along the tree-lined drive surrounded by ten acres of lush parkland and green lawns, you come to a magnificent Aberdeen granite manor. Inside Raemoir House, built in the early 19th century but extensively redeveloped in the Victorian 'Golden Age' of the region, you'll find sumptuous bedrooms, some with stunning views of the rolling hills and antique furniture. A further six bedrooms are situated in the even older Ha' Hoose (Hall House), directly behind the manor and dating back to 1715.

As dinner time approaches, you are comfortably relaxing with a drink, ready to enter the stunning Oval Ballroom with its Victorian velvet covered walls, 19th century family portraits and gilt wood-framed mirror.  This is one of the most opulent dining rooms in all the Highlands – the perfect setting in which to sample Raemoir House’s award-winning cuisine. Aberdeenshire is blessed with top quality beef, lamb, fish, grains and vegetables and the chefs go out of their way to source the freshest possible foraged and locally grown produce, with stunning results.

The Hill of Fare is directly accessible from the hotel grounds and offers beautiful views of Aberdeenshire all the way to the North Sea.  Beyond the boundaries of this magnificent retreat is a region rich in beauty and heritage, including the famous Whisky, Golf and Castle Trails. Visit Banchory, the bustling gateway to Deeside, or the Granite City itself - the lively and historic Aberdeen. Watch salmon leap for their lives at Falls of Feugh and explore the rich tapestry of Aberdeenshire's many castles. Or simply take in the natural beauty as you stroll to the fairway at the area's numerous Championship golf courses.
