Located between the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Moors just a few miles north of the lovely cathedral town Ripon, The Old Coach House is an absolute gem of a B&B.  This 18th century coach house overlooks the lake in the grounds of North Stainley Hall and effortlessly combines authentic period charm with a contemporary and modern atmosphere. Everything about the Old Coach House is of 5-star quality and a stay here is luxurious and tranquil. The helpful and friendly staff is always there to greet you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The bedrooms are named after famous nearby Yorkshire attractions including the Moors, Wensleydale and Helmsley. All are well decorated with especially comfy beds, along with great extras like free Wi-Fi, chocolates, tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities, high quality toiletries, flat screen TVs and bottled water and milk in the fridge. The breakfasts here are exceptional, both for the cooked to order Wensleydale breakfasts and the fresh ingredients for the continental breakfast. For other meals there are lots of places to eat nearby, including the excellent Staveley Arms just across the road. The grounds include a courtyard and relaxing there with a glass of something nice is highly recommended in fine weather.

North Stainley is a lovely village to explore and serves as the perfect gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and you won’t want to miss the fantastic local restaurants, country pubs, lovely walks and amazing views. Nearby Ripon has a market and cathedral and The Old Coach House can arrange preferential rates if you are tempted by Ripon Races or Ripon Golf Club. Also a short drive away is the stunning beauty of Nidderdale, Wensleydale, Fountains Abbey, Newby Hall, Ripley Castle and much more.
