Sophisticated Chester escape with fabulous secret garden dining experience
Oddfellows has long been known as 'the' fashionable haunt of the glamorous Cheshire set. But now, after a recent refurbishment transformed this former restaurant with rooms it's more fashionable than ever. At the heart of this fabulous new development is 'The Garden by Simon Radley'. The Mediterranean styled restaurant, complete with olive trees, opens out onto The Secret Garden, which offers the height of sophisticated, contemporary outdoor living. There are fire pits, furniture you are more accustomed to seeing indoors and private cabins where groups of friends can socialise. Simon's concept is based on offering an al fresco dining experience year round - come rain or shine and an extendable canopy and outdoor heating make this possible. The menu is exceptional and has been designed for informal dining - and for sharing. The bedrooms are equally stunning with three famous local people: an architect, an artist and a cinematographer providing the inspiration for each one. You'll find round beds, double rain forest showers, state-of-the-art audio visual systems, Nespresso coffee and split level suites. There is also a sensational continental style Lounge Bar and an airy and relaxed 'Grown Up' bar, with outside terrace, in the old Georgian part of the building.
