The Imperial Hotel, with its red brick and Dutch gabling, is an iconic landmark on Great Yarmouth’s seafront. A grand dame from the glorious days of the early British holiday, The Imperial conjures up a sense of nostalgia for the past whilst simultaneously providing the kind of first class hotel experience demanded by today’s discerning customers.
The bedrooms are appointed to a very high standard. Four of their best rooms have been themed around different Champagne houses and many of their rooms have fantastic sea views. Great Yarmouth has always been a favourite spot for traditional family holidays and the Imperial offers excellent family accommodation.
The conservatory style Terrace restaurant is one of the best places to eat in the area and certainly has the best views. As an alternative there’s also the hotel’s Café Cru and Bar Fizz. The food is largely modern British and the menus include plenty of locally landed seafood.
Great Yarmouth is a wonderful spot for a short break or weekend away. On the one hand there’re the bright lights and the allure of the Pier, the Pleasure Beach and the dog track, and on the other, there’s the tranquillity of the Norfolk Broads, the unspoilt sandy beaches and many places of interest.
