Warpool Court Hotel(St Davids, Pembrokeshire, UK) |

Originally built as the St David's Cathedral choir school in the 1860s, this privately owned hotel enjoys spectacular scenery at the heart of Pembrokeshire National Park with views over the coast and St Brides Bay to the islands beyond. First converted to a hotel 40 years ago, the Court offers comfortable and individually decorated bedrooms, many of which have glorious sea views. An interesting feature is the hotel's unique antique tile collection. The dining room enjoys a splendid reputation offering imaginative menus (including vegetarian dishes) using local produce - crab, lobster, sewin and seabass are caught just off the coast. Set in 15 acres, the tranquil gardens offer pre-dinner drinks on the lawns or peaceful strolls around the grounds. For those wishing for more active pursuits, the tennis court beckons, as well as the heated pool (open Easter to October), croquet and table tennis. A five-minute walk across the grounds will take you either to the coastal path with its spectacular scenery or the Cathedral and Bishops Palace in St Davids. The area boasts many sandy beaches and offers a wealth of history and natural beauty.
