A beautiful woodland setting close to Oxford's dreaming spires

Just two miles from the heart of Oxford lies a 400-acre ancient woodland preserve offering sanctuary to numerous species of birds and wildlife. In the midst of this idyllic scenery, the Westwood basks in the quiet of the countryside, surrounded by its own lovely woodland gardens. The house was built as an Edwardian private residence and has been thoughtfully extended and refurbished as a hotel. The comfortable bedrooms have been decorated with fabrics and papers by the Zoffany design house. Two of the rooms have four-poster beds, while others have a private terrace or balcony overlooking the gardens. There is a warm welcome to be found in the Oaks Bar and fine cuisine in the Oaks Restaurant. Corporate clients can make use of four well-equipped conference rooms or enjoy a challenging round of golf at nearby Frilford Heath Golf Course - Anthony Healy, the Westwood owner, is a member and can wholly recommend it! The hotel is a popular venue for weddings and parties, whether inside or out in the gardens. Westwood's gardens, after all, are a delight. Opened by renowned naturalist David Bellamy in 1995, they are a work in progress, where guests can observe numerous species of wildlife and enjoy the gardens on warm summer evenings.
