The Westleton Crown(Southwold, Suffolk, UK) |

A major recent refurbishment of The Westleton Crown has resulted in an effortless blend of all the heritage and charm of its 12th century origins with sophisticated contemporary style and comfort. It is situated in a small rural village a few miles from the Suffolk Heritage Coast and is sandwiched between the pretty seaside town of Southwold, famed for its many colourful beach huts, and Aldeburgh - home of the renowned music festival. The bedrooms in the main part of the inn are more traditional whilst the new rooms and suites in the recently converted stables and cottages are chic and full of that simplistic Suffolk style. The beds are exceptionally comfortable with pocket sprung mattresses, duck down duvets and Egyptian cotton linen. Many of the rooms are furnished with white wood, or nickel beds, and woven Lloyd Loom chairs. In some of the bathrooms you'll find luxurious double-ended roll top baths and large walk-in showers. The food is exceptional and largely locally sourced. Everything , including fresh bread and ice cream, are made in-house. You can eat in the cosy Parlour by the open fire, in the traditional bar - or in the newly refurbished Garden Room with its atrium and views out onto the terraced gardens.
