The Torridon was once a shooting lodge and originally built for the first Earl of Lovelace in 1887. It has been refurbished and lives on as a family owned and run country house hotel. It is now one of the finest hotels to be found on the west coast and, with an imposing highland setting, genuinely stakes a claim for the most dramatic. The hotel, with its superb bedrooms and bathrooms and impressive drawing room with a magnificent Zodiac crest ceiling, sets standards of luxury rarely found in such wild regions.
