The Three Lions(Fordingbridge, Hampshire, UK) |

Built in 1863 as a farmhouse in the hamlet of Stuckton on the edge of the New Forest, The Three Lions is now a destination of note for dining enthusiasts. It is personally owned and run by Jayne and Mike, who was awarded a Michelin star in 1990 having learnt his craft with Raymond Blanc and Michel Gerard. His personal style of cuisine is based on the best local produce available, most of it organically grown. The 100-bin wine list is compiled from personally tasted and selected wines from all over the world. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, and a spacious conservatory is connected to the accommodation and overlooks manicured gardens. Guests can also find a little peace in the Catalina whirlpool spa and Jacuzzi or the hotel's sauna, which are open year-round. With such relaxing facilities, the Three Lions is a place where you can come and go as you please without the formality of a hotel and is great for dog owners. The Three Lions is ideally situated for exploring the New Forest and is also family friendly. Further afield are Salisbury, Poole, Rockbourne, Winchester and many picturesque Dorset villages, all of which you can visit in a day and still be back for dinner.
