The Lord Milner is a discreet luxury townhouse located in the exclusive residential district of Belgravia. This boutique B&B is named after Viscount Milner, the Southern African High Commissioner in the late 19th century, and the elegant design contains references to its colonial namesake, such as the Empire bedroom and the Sunset Bedroom, decorated in the colours of an African sunset. There are just 11 bedrooms - each with a decorative style all of its own. The Garden Suite has its own conservatory and private garden. The gold Empire Room has a grand four-poster and is perfect for those on a romantic getaway - whilst the Contemporary Room, with its clean lines and grey, red and black colour scheme, is ideal for the business traveller. All rooms have marble bathrooms and LCD TVs and free high speed Broadband internet access. Keeping things simple, a continental breakfast can be served in your room. The standards here are exacting and the service is quite outstanding - two factors which have gained it much loyalty from both domestic and international visitors. In recognition of its special status, the English Tourist board has awarded it five stars, making The Lord Milner only the fourth guest house in London to be so honoured. Belgravia offers the best of both worlds - it's removed from the general hubbub of the capital whilst being less than a mile from Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Buckingham Palace and the West End.
