Far from old-fashioned, the hotel has a fine-dining restaurant featuring tiers that make the most of the fantastic views and a dining terrace open during the al fresco season. Their six premier rooms also encapsulate this updated style, and are spacious and luxurious, with large bathrooms, walk-in showers, balconettes and great views.

The food is superb. Breakfast can be traditional with a touch of imagination or simply light continental. Dinner is prepared with attention and flair from locally-grown Cornish produce, including early-season fruit and vegetables, fresh sea fish and the best quality meats and poultry.

The Idle Rocks is on the Roseland Peninsula, famously picturesque with lovely beaches, breathtaking cliffs, coastal walks, historic castles, pretty villages and a huge range of outdoor activities to enjoy.
