The more modernly decked-out 'Wharfedale wing' has a funky creative edge - smart and crisp. The Duke and Duchess champion a good night's sleep, giving lovely extras like hot water bottles to this end. The hospitality extends to the outdoors, with wellington boots, umbrellas, fishing rods and bikes provided, should you wish to explore the Estate's 33,000 acres of spectacular Yorkshire countryside. Enjoy a walk to ancient Bolton Abbey, past warm Yorkshire teashops and pubs before petting the family dog at the hotel's door on the way back in. The luxurious spa here boasts a pool, steam room, gym and more. And a Country Seat wouldn't be a Country Seat without a lot of good wine and food. There are two remarkable restaurants to choose from: the vibrant Devonshire Brasserie and Bar and Michelin-starred Burlington Restaurant. The menu is wonderfully inventive - a recent main course included Cumbrian venison loin, black pudding bonbon, pumpkin & lemon, chestnut cannelloni and chocolate. The Burlington inhabits a beautiful room room populated with 250 year-old architectural drawings, and you'll be spoilt with a top class wine list too.
