The Clontarf Hotel(Llandudno, Conwy, UK) |

Llanduno has long been celebrated as the 'Queen of the Welsh Resorts', and Clontarf is without doubt one of the brightest gems in its diadem. Clontarf is a ruddy gorgeous small Victorian luxury hotel next to the West Shore, with great views over the sea and The Great Orme, just next door. The rooms are so beautiful you'll want to transport them home with you when you leave. A refurbishment has brought bold wallpapers and lavish contemporary furnishings to the original period fixtures. Think chandeliers and a neutral background for exquisite design with opulent additions. Rooms are mostly sizeable and perfect for dreaming in, the beds are king sized or larger and have glorious memory foam mattresses. Each bedroom has its own theme. There's a Louis XV influenced room with white French style furniture as well as a fabulously plush black and silver room straight from the swinging 60s . In some bathrooms you'll find drench showers (you know, the ones with shower heads that look like regal watering can heads) and one even has a steam cabin. All rooms have sumptuous L'Occitane toiletries and views of the spectacular coast or rolling Ormes. A quaint little tram runs up those hills if you don't want to.
