Washingborough Hall was built around 1700 as a private house; the first recorded owner was George Fairfax, the rector of Washingborough, and his family. This elegant, three-star listed Georgian manor house, is now a privately run hotel and restaurant. Set in three acres of beautiful, secluded grounds, just three miles from the centre of historic Lincoln City, it boasts high ceilings and stunning views. The building has retained its stately appearance, yet modernized to cater for today's guests. Experienced hoteliers Richard and Sue, moved here from just outside Bath and undertook interior renovations in 2005, adding an individual styling appearance to all the rooms. The elegant Wedgwood Restaurant features modern European style cooking, courtesy of head chef Dan Wallis. The highest quality fresh produce is used in the à la carte menu, which is complemented by a carefully selected wine list. The hotel's quiet location, just two miles from Lincoln makes it an ideal choice for business and leisure guests alike. The hotel has three light and airy conference rooms with high ceilings and bay fronted windows, equipped with all the modern facilities like wireless high speed internet access.
