A revolution in tradition

In 1908, 'Pa' Lane Jackson, founder of the renowned Corinthian Sporting Club, purchased the estate and set about creating Britain's finest parkland golf course. Stoke Park Club was firmly established long before James Bond played his high stakes game against Goldfinger here, and Golf World magazine has named it one of the world's 100 finest courses. 007 returned once again in Tomorrow Never Dies, and more recently it could be recognised as the setting for the comical boating scene in Bridget Jones's Diary.
