Shibden Mill Inn(Halifax, Yorkshire, UK) |

This 17th century inn is situated in the picturesque Shibden Valley close to Yorkshire's 'Bronte Country'. Originally a water corn mill dating back to the Middle Ages, the inn has now been fully restored while ensuring that the sense of history and heritage has not been lost. Each of the individually styled rooms is different in décor and design. Some are dramatic; others are prettily feminine or French in flavour, whilst others have a fresh contemporary air. Winner of the prestigious Publican Award for Food Pub of the Year, Shibden's restaurant has a delightfully cosy ambience complete with candlelight and newly rediscovered original wooden beams. Head Chef Darren Parkinson offers a delicious and widely varied choice of crowd-pleasing dishes alongside a great selection of wines from around the world. After dinner, savour a pint of Shibden Bitter in front of an open log fire. Haworth, home of the Bronte Parsonage Museum, is a 20 minute drive away. There are many lovely walks in the area too including the well known Calderdale Way. The hotel is ideal for small conferences and business meetings and is conveniently located for Leeds, Manchester and Bradford.
