A gorgeous Cornish country hideaway set in its own secluded, wooded valley

This gorgeous Georgian manor house is tucked away in its own secluded Cornish wooded valley providing a fantastic sense of privacy and tranquillity. The hotel is a family concern, owned and run by James and Sara Evans. The stunning North Cornish coast provides the perfect backdrop for this intimate and homely country house hotel. The hotel has a lovely cosy feel to it with comfortable furnishings, and with roaring log fires in winter months, it retains the feel of a grand house as opposed to a hotel. Take a dip in the heated swimming pool or hot tub or enjoy a hearty Cornish cream tea in the lovely gardens. Dining is a must at the Rose in Vale. Before dinner you can enjoy an aperitif in the lounges or outside in the garden before going to eat in the Valley Restaurant, which overlooks the hotel's gardens. The hotel is rightly proud of its food, serving up high quality home made food using local and seasonal produce. In 2008 the hotel created its own vegetable garden and is looking forward to serving not only home made but home produced food! The Head Chef, Colin Hankins, joined the team in 2006; since then the hotel has been awarded a Rosette for fine dining.
