The light and airy bedrooms are contemporary in style, many with a private balcony overlooking the sea and picturesque Mousehole harbour. With floor to ceiling windows, the stylish, warm and welcoming bistro-style restaurant has stunning views through Cornish palms across to St Clement's Isle and Mount's Bay beyond. Local produce is championed at The Old Coastguard including freshly caught fish from Newlyn fish market, one mile away, and free range organic beef which graze on the cliffs near St Ives. The dishes are inspired by the fresh produce of West Cornwall and are a Cornish version of French-rustic in style. Guests love the fact that they can stop and relax with coffee and papers, or drop in for a light lunch, or take time over a three course dinner whilst watching the ever-changing scene of passing fishing boats against the backdrop of Mount's Bay. This is a gorgeous corner of Cornwall, with an extraordinary variety of landscapes packed into a small area: dramatic granite coastline with its secret coves, hidden sub-tropical valleys with cascading streams, wild moors, abundant wildlife and a history stretching back to the Bronze Age.
