Nunsmere Hall was originally built by the Brocklebank family, whose shipping company dated back to the early 1700s. In the 20th century, Sir Aubrey Brocklebank designed the Queen Mary, and his son Sir John designed the QEII and became chairman of Cunard. It was Sir Aubrey who built Nunsmere Hall as his family home in 1898 and to this day Nunsmere offers the bygone style and service of a great transatlantic liner in the idyllic Cheshire countryside.
