Fresh from being awarded Best Guest Accommodation In England by the English Tourst Board , this fabulously comfortable boutique guest accommodation is situated in the quiet coastal village of Arnside on the southern edge of the Lake District. Step outside Number 43's front door and you are in some of the most breathtaking surroundings in the country, with awe-inspiring sunsets and entrancing views over the Kent Estuary towards the Lakeland fells. You feel worlds away from the crowds, yet Windermere and the central lakes are just a short drive away. The stylish interiors are furnished with Lloyd Loom and contemporary oak furniture - with fabrics and wall coverings by Designers Guild. The bedrooms are as luxurious as they come with Egyptian cotton sheets, thick fluffy bathrobes, flat screen TVs and Bose sound systems. There's also sherry, fresh coffee, homemade biscuits and even Kendal Mint Cake. All rooms have free Wi-Fi and some have binoculars so that guests can observe the estuary's wildlife. The bath in Suite Two affords a fantastic view of the estuary and guests can enjoy a soak whilst watching the sun go down. Breakfast, served on the terrace when sunny, includes such things as freshly baked muffins and homemade granola. Famous local farmer Peter Gott provides the Cumberland sausage and black pudding for the traditional Cumbrian breakfast. Supper is served Monday to Friday from October to March (pre-booked) and for the summer months, BBQ packs of local artisan produce are available for barbecuing on the rear terrace.
