Nigel Haworth, holder of the 2006 'Lifetime Achievement Award' at the Northern Hospitality Awards, has a special love of traditional Lancashire cooking, and he has recreated many of those dishes in a very different style, including a sticky toffee pudding that has been voted one of the best in the country. While Nigel cooks and presides over the kitchen, Craig looks after the guests' needs in the restaurant and rooms. He's a complete enthusiast and is particularly expert in food and wine matching. The list includes a fabulous selection of half bottles to enjoy when dining with 5-course gourmet menu. The rooms have all undergone a major recent refurbishment - each room exudes its own individual character, combining rich sensuous soft-furnishings, fabrics and wall coverings with highly distinctive furniture and soft, sophisticated lighting.
