Daniel Mullane's Mustard Seed Restaurant in Adare village is one of Ireland's most respected eateries. In 1995, the restaurateur bought Echo Lodge, a fine Victorian country house built in 1884 in the tranquil village of... More About Mustard Seed At Echo Lodge Ballingarry, near Adare. Into it he has put his restaurant and his love for the space and elegance of a bygone age, plus a wealth of today's comforts and amenities. Guests are welcomed for dinner with an overnight stay in one of the 16 bedrooms, all beautifully decorated and furnished. There are seven acres of lawns, pleasure grounds and, above all, peace; inside, the library has an unusual and excellent book collection.

The restaurant is memorable. Great care is taken to source ingredients from the best of Ireland's organic farms and cheesemakers, and the herbs are grown in the garden. The menu is made up of the delightful flavour of the very best of Irish cuisine, both traditional and modern, and is complemented by a serious wine list.

Peaceful countryside with opportunities for delightful walks is all around, and the air is enchanting. For those with an interest in sport, cycling, five golf courses, angling and horse riding are within the locality.
