The house was the home of George Smith, founder of the Glenlivet Whisky. It is situated... More About Minmore House above the River Livet and surrounded by four acres of secluded walled garden.The nine en-suite bedrooms have central heating and gallons of hot water and are all individually and comfortably furnished. Each is named after a local Speyside malt. In 2006 one gorgeous new suite was added to Minmore House. Picnic lunches can be provided on request. Sumptuous afternoon teas are served in the sunny drawing room with glorious views over the glen. The grand finale is a four-course dinner, the main course of which can vary from fresh salmon to fillet of venison. The hotel grows its own herbs and has other excellent sources of fresh produce. Minmore House has a specially selected wine cellar, and an impressive range of single malt whiskies on display in the oak-panelled bar.There is a hard tennis court and a croquet lawn for sunny days and plenty of space for you to curl up with a good book.
