Aidan and Joan MacManus first opened their restaurant business more than 30 years ago and have since nurtured a network of trusty suppliers who can rustle up everything from locally-caught lobster and crab to organically-grown vegetables. To complement the menu, there is a well-stocked wine cellar, and guests can enjoy a pre-dinner drink while choosing from the award-winning wine list.

Howth is just 25 minutes from central Dublin by DART rail link and a great base for golfers and sailors. Horse riding can be arranged, and walkers can hike the unspoilt cliff path and trails around Howth Head.
