Inn on the Lake

Most of the hotel's rooms enjoy spectacular views, some looking towards the magnificent Helvellyn Mountain Range, whilst many look out over the ever-changing Lake Ullswater.

On a warm day take a stroll in the grounds, or enjoy a light lunch on the lakeside terrace; on cold winter days settle into one of the comfortable armchairs in the Lake View lounges by a roaring fire. This is all about peace and tranquillity.

Drinks in the Lounge Bar are a must before dining in the beautiful Lake View Restaurant, a recent winner of an AA rosette, and complete with stunning views across the lake. The head chef's menus change daily, with a strong emphasis on local produce. The hotel has its own traditional Lakeland pub, the Ramblers Bar, complete with Cumberland Sausage on the menu and local beers on tap - a welcome sight after a long day's walking on the fells.
