A former Edwardian gentlemen's residence set in five acres of secluded beautiful gardens, today Fayrer Garden offers all the style and elegance you would expect from a three-star country house hotel. With unrivalled views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding countryside, the Terrace Restaurant - awarded two rosettes by the AA - has a well established reputation for fine food. The skilled kitchen team, lead by Chef Edward Wilkinson, produce daily changing menus to reflect both the season and the best ingredients the region has to offer. Stylish lounges offer views across the terrace and the Lake beyond where morning coffee or afternoon tea can be enjoyed. The cosy bar invites you to sit and relax with an aperitif or indeed a night-cap allowing you to sample one of the many single malts or local bottled real ales. All of the bedrooms have views - either over Lake Windermere or of the attractive gardens and no two are the same. Ground floor rooms have patio doors to allow direct access onto the terrace whilst all the lake view rooms enjoy the added luxury of a whirlpool bath. The nearby village of Bowness with all its shops, attractions and boats, is only a brisk 15 minute walk.
