Idyllic country house five miles from Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast

Down a small lane, bordered by high ancient hedgerows, amidst the idyllic rolling Devonshire countryside you'll find this pretty, wisteria clad country house. It is situated on the Devon/Dorset border just five miles from Lyme Regis and the stunning Jurassic Coast. This is a fantastic part of the world for a short break or family holiday with so many things to do - searching for fossils is a must and the walking is some of the best in the country. Fairwater Head is wonderfully welcoming and very comfortable - it is also remarkably peaceful. The bedrooms offer a particularly quiet night's sleep and are airy and pleasantly furnished. You'll find crisp white linen duvets and Egyptian cotton towels in the bathroom. The Greenfields Restaurant has a contemporary, bright and spacious feel and looks out onto the delightful gardens. The Brazzerie menu is excellent and, depending on the season, you can find such delicious ingredients as Dorset crab, Devonshire sirloin steak, Dartmoor lamb and locally landed fish and shellfish. On the food front, it is good to know that Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage is ten minutes away should you fancy signing up to one of the cookery courses.
