The wisteria-clad hall is situated halfway between Morpeth and Alnwick, and is surrounded by lovely gardens and woodlands which are guarded overby Eshott's troop of fancy chickens who add to the relaxed and easy going nature and complement the sophistication to be found within the house. The entrance hall, with its sweeping staircase and stained glass window, is breathtaking and sets the tone for what is to come. The interiors are the epitome of chic sophistication. They blend contemporary simplicity with beautiful antiques and period features such as the elaborate plaster work on the Drawing Room ceiling. The bedrooms are elegantly furnished and decorated. Some rooms feature luxurious free standing bath tubs - thoughtfully positioned either in front of the fireplace or the picture window. You'll also find dreamy window seats affording magical views. The Head Chef sources his ingredients locally - with smoked salmon and kippers coming from the nearby fishing ports of Seahouses and Craster respectively. Many vegetables and herbs are grown in the idyllic kitchen garden. Dining in the Hall's elegant Ballroom is a wonderful experience and creates a sense of nostalgia for times past. The perfect touring base, Eshott is well located for touring Northumberland's breathtaking coast and beaches as well as the historics sites of Hadrians Wall and Alnwick Castle. Many sporting activities can be arranged as well as on a nearby Northumbrian estate including deer stalking and salmon fishing with the hotel's own ghillie.
