This splendidly romantic Georgian house, home of the Sedgwick family, stands high above the village of Low Crosby, surrounded by wooded areas and parkland, with a marvellous view of the River Eden. The house, built in 1802 and altered some years later to the castellated appearance of today, is beautifully furnished with family antiques complemented by stunning flower arrangements. The perfectionist head chef and his young team serve up deliciously exciting menus featuring authentic Continental cuisine and the very best of traditional British fare. (The Crosby Lodge sweet trolley, along with their homemade bread and preserves, is renowned far and wide!) Patricia looks after the front of the house and will greet you personally. The wine list, written and supplied by daughter Philippa and stored in their courtyard wine warehouse, is exceptional. The house has 11 bedrooms tastefully designed by Patricia. The friendly, efficient staff make this the ideal venue for a peaceful holiday, short break, shooting party or golfing holiday. From here you may tour the Lake District, explore Hadrian's Wall, Carlisle Castle and more.
