Perched in a Highland Forest near the famous Falls of Foyers, Craigdarroch House overlooks the timeless beauty of Loch Ness. As you enter Craigdarroch you will be immediately struck by the special ambience - old fashioned wood... More About Craigdarroch House panelling, high cornice ceilings and period furnishings. The rooms are luxurious and comforting, with most overlooking the Loch, and some having four poster beds. Back downstairs, settle into the deep cushioned sofas of the Drawing Room in front of the roaring fire, or relax in the cosy lounge bar, sampling some of the 130 varieties of Malt Whisky on offer. From the windows are unquestionably the finest views of Loch Ness of any property around the Loch. The owners, Martin and Elinor Donnelly, were rising stars of the Glasgow restaurant scene before realising their dream of countryside living, and the food at Craigdarroch lives up to the very highest expectations. Dine by candle light in the Dining Room, which features the freshest local produce from both land and sea. The surrounding area is full of natural beauty, with fascinating walks along the Loch at Foyers, Dores, Inverfarigaig and Fort Augustus. Some of the world's best boating, fishing, and shooting are found nearby, as well a huge range of scenic, top quality golf courses.
