Scandinavian style luxury spa hotel in the heart of a West Yorkshire forest

Whilst at first glance it appears that this luxury spa hotel might be located deep within a remote Norwegian forest, it can actually be found above the West Yorkshire town of Otley, in 44 acres of pristine woodland. You would never guess that Leeds and York were so close by. The recently refurbished accommodation is Scandinavian ski chalet in style and guests can choose to stay in the main building, in a log cabin bedroom in the forested grounds or in one of the three self-catering woodland lodges. All the rooms have views of either the woods or the lake, some having private balconies or porches. The contemporary AA Rosetted Lakeside Restaurant is superb and has a plate glass panoramic window which overlooks the lake and opens out on to a lovely terrace. The menu is well designed, produce used is fresh and local - lamb from Nidderdale, beef Yorkshire reared, Bedale salmon and mussels from the Yorkshire coast. They also serve traditional llkley Brewery ales. The leisure facilities have recently been refurbished too and their new Sonas Spa offers an extensive range of Elemis treatments in addition to a gym, heated swimming pool, sauna and outdoor hot tub. There are also woodland walks, a tennis court, mountain bikes and fishing rods for hire. The hotel is an ideal wedding venue with packages to suit all, particularly an 'Exclusive Use' offering. Due to Chevin's location, there is no better place to hold your business events, be they dinners, conferences and team building/activity days.
