Each room has its own character and unique features, such as the separate sitting room and luxurious spa bath of Orrest Head Suite, the stunning views of Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes from the windows of Langdale, and the romantic four-poster bed of Crinkle Crags. There's also a converted Coach House with its own separate entrance so guests can come and go as they please. The Cedar Manor Restaurant was awarded an AA Rosette in September 07, and offers seasonal a la Carte and table d'hote menus using locally sourced ingredients and is open to residents and non-residents. There is also a very comfortable lounge and bar looking out onto pretty garden views, with sofas and armchairs for you to relax and read the library of books and newspapers.

Set in mature walled gardens dominated by the 200 year-old cedar tree the hotel feels peaceful and secluded, yet is just a short stroll away from the shores of Lake Windermere and the centre of Windermere village.
