Parking is at a premium in this part of Lincoln but not at Bail House, which has its own large off-street gravel parking, with an electric gate and CCTV. Bailhouse's central location contrasts with the seclusion of its walled gardens which conceal first-rate features like an outdoor heated swimming pool, breakfast terrace, barbeque area, lawns and even a stone chapel listed as an Ancient Scheduled Monument.

The interior has been extensively renovated to a bright contemporary style that complements the period features. The bedrooms are spacious and well-furnished, with modern en-suite bathrooms and most with views of the castle and cathedral. The well-worn flagstones in the entrance hallways bear testament to Bailhouse's five incarnations as a public house. Like the stones, the cheer of Ermine House, the Blue Bell inn, the Falcon, George and Crown Inn still remains.
