5-star luxury in the heart of the Lake District

After recent extensive refurbishment, this attractive Victorian villa offers guests the epitome of contemporary style and luxury a stone's throw from Windermere. Applegarth's interior designed bedrooms are out of this world with sleek contemporary furnishings, luxurious statement wallpapers and striking colour schemes. One or two of the rooms are more classically styled and feature four-posters. The views from some of the rooms are more than worthy of a mention, as is the splendid bay window with window seat in Room Two. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, iPod docks and flat screen TVs, Egyptian cotton sheets and Lakeland water. The bathrooms are of lavish Italian marble some featuring walk-in showers, spa baths and elegant slipper baths, mood lighting, crystal chandeliers, and wall mounted TV with floating remote. The Villa Restaurant is housed in an ultra-modern conservatory with fell views. Unsurprisingly, Lakeland lamb, locally smoked salmon and Cumbrian fell bred beef feature on the menu - as do some excellent local cheeses. There's a traditional cosy bar with open fire too as well as a lovely terrace, which is perfect for summer dining. Guests also have access to a £3 million state-of-the-art spa complex situated just a few minutes from the hotel.
