Handsomely decorated and furnished throughout, the drawing room is particularly elegant with its varnished wood floor, full length bay window and grand piano. The six bedrooms have undergone a recent refurbishment. You'll find plenty of French influences - and French North African too. There are i-Pod docking stations and DVD players as well as Wi-Fi. On the generous hospitality tray the coffee is both freshly ground and Fair Trade. With so many guests spending their days in the great outdoors, dinner is plentiful but unpretentious. The evening menu might include such things as a classic French onion soup, a braised lamb shank and a fantastically calorific Eton mess. There are also a number of truly excellent restaurants nearby. Award winning local sausages are dished up for breakfast along with home-made blueberry muffins, kippers, Eggs Benedict and various delicious fruit compotes.
