The Gardens of the RoseGardens
|
The Royal National Rose Society Gardens provide a wonderful display of one of the best and most important collections of roses in the world. There are some 30,000 roses in 1800 different varieties. The Society has introduced many companion plants which harmonise well with roses including over 100 varieties of clematis. The garden named for the Society's Patron Her Majesty The Queen Mother contains a fascinating collection of old garden roses. Various cultivation trials show just how easy roses are to grow and new varieties can be seen in the International Trial Ground. There are excellent facilities for films and fashion photography. Opening times: Easter Sun & Mon, then each Sun & BH until 30 May, 10am - 4pm. 5 Jun - 26 Sept: Mon - Sat, 9am - 5pm, Sun & Aug BHs: 10am - 6pm
