The Carrowkeel Megalithic Cemetery on the Bricklieve Mountain near Coopershill Hotel has 14 superb cairn tombs dating back to 4000 BC providing testimony to man in the Sligo landscape since before the Egyptian Pyramids!. Access is from Castlebaldwin village on the N4 and is free of charge. The last half mile is best undertaken on foot and good walking shoes are recommended
