Tudor Gatehouse entrance to 12th century Priory of Clerkenwell, English home of Crusading Knights Hospitaller and St John Ambulance. Grand Priory Church, and 12th century crypt survive (despite Wat Tyler and Peasants' Revolt). Also Hogarth's home and Dr Johnson's workplace. Museum collections represent the Order from Crusade to First-Aid, including arms & armour, furniture, paintings, Maltese silver, pharmacy jars and historic First-Aid collections.
