A fully furnished historic house built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594 and home of the Digby family since 1617, reflecting various styles from the Elizabethan Hall to the Victorian Solarium. Splendid collections of art, furniture and porcelain. Well informed guides are happy to answer questions. Set in beautiful parkland with lawns, wooded walks and a 50 acre lake. Historic Houses Association Member. Opening Times: 1 Apr - end Oct: Castle: Tues, Thur, Sat, Sun & BH Mons, 1.30 - 6pm. Last admission 5pm. Tearoom open same days as castle, 12.30 - 6pm. Grounds: Daily (except Weds) 12.30 - 5pm
