Sandham Memorial Chapel

Considered by many to be one of Stanley Spencer's greatest achievements, Sandham will intrigue anyone with an interest in 20th century art. The Chapel is a First World War memorial built in the 1920s and the paintings by Stanley Spencer of war scenes in Salonica cover the chapel walls. Opening times: Apr - end Oct: Wed - Sun & BH Mon, 11.30am - 5pm (closed Wed following BH Mon). Mar - Nov: Sat & Sun, 11.30am - 4pm. Dec - Feb: by appointment.
