One of the best preserved groups of Stone Age houses in Western Europe
Skara Brae is one of the best preserved groups of Stone Age houses in Western Europe. Built before the Pyramids, the houses contain stone furniture, hearths and drains. New visitor centre and replica house with joint admission with Skaill House - 17th century home of the Laird who excavated Skara Brae. Opening Times: Apr - Sept: daily, 9.30am - 6.30pm.
