Set in 350 acres of lovely Parkland
The restored working Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden is growing produce for the `big house' as it would have done 100 years ago. Victorian varieties of fruit and vegetables are grown using organic and Victorian techniques. Set in 350 acres of Park, visitors may also see the Regency Mansion, designed by Sir Robert Smirke, which the Garden was built to serve. The ground floor rooms of the Hall are displayed in Regency style, while those upstairs reflect the changing styles of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Costume from the Museum Service's collections is also exhibited. Opening Times: Hall & Farming Museum: 29 Mar - 3 Oct: 1 - 5pm. Park: daily, 9am - dusk. Walled Garden: daily, 11am - 5pm (4pm in winter). Last admission at all venues 1/2 hour before closing
