A fine Elizabethan house with later alterations
An Elizabethan house with later alterations. Charles II hid here after the Battle of Worcester and the bed in which he slept is on view, as well as the hiding place he used. The small garden has been reconstructed in 17th century style with formal box parterre; only 17th century plants are grown. The property is a Sandford Education Award Winner.
